Chevell Browning

Director of Indigenous Engagement

Chevell is a proud Noongar yorga with ties to Whadjuk and Wadandi boodja.

Her background in recruitment, mining and client services has made her a go-to person for matters related to Indigenous employment and community engagement. She has been instrumental in developing and implementing Indigenous employment strategies, ensuring that recruitment processes are culturally sensitive and inclusive. Chevell is responsible for managing relationships with the Indigenous supply chain, overseeing the reconciliation action plan, and fostering opportunities for First Nations people within the organisation, including overseeing Origin pro-bono work.

Having entered the corporate world as a trainee, Chevell is dedicated to mentoring and supporting the Indigenous staff, guiding them towards realising their full potential. She takes great pride in helping them navigate the challenges of the corporate world while staying connected to their roots. Her deep commitment to giving back to Mob is reflected in her efforts to support and nurture the growth of First Nations businesses and people.

Beyond her professional commitments, Chevell, a mother of two, values the moments spent with her family and friends. She holds a certificate in business and has completed the Yorga Djenna Bidi program, facilitated by the Western Australian Aboriginal Leadership Institution. Her continuous dedication to fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment for Indigenous communities remains at the forefront of her professional endeavors.
